A new brand identity and logo design for an exciting Tech startup based in the North East
Introduction
The Participant Hub is a tech startup founded by Richard Crisp, a Psychology Professor at Durham University. The platform integrates all stages of the research process for online studies involving participants.
The Brief
The initial brief was to develop a brand identity, which included a logo design and guidelines that were easy to follow. Next, I had to create numerous illustrations on the website and other print designs to advertise the business, such as flyers, posters and business cards.
The Process
I first had to research The Participant Hub, find out their goals and USP as well as establish their brand values and mission statement, and present my findings to the founder, Richard. The next step was creating a range of logo concepts for Richard to review and decide which direction to go. Once he was happy with the final logo design, I made various source materials he requested, including brand guidelines and stationery. I then researched different illustration themes that would best reflect the brand before designing various illustration designs for the physical and digital media.
"Dan is an exceptionally talented designer. On receiving our brief, he quickly developed a wonderful new company logo for us. It was spot on - communicating the key elements of our business in a fresh, innovative and visually appealing way. Throughout the process Dan kept us in touch with the developing design, ensuring every aspect reflected our vision, while challenging us with novel ideas and different perspectives. Thanks to Dan we now have a stunning logo that both captures the attention and ignites the imagination. Wonderful work!"
