The second year of the International Reading Conference, with a modernised logo and new design layout
The second year of the International Reading Conference, with a modernised logo and new design layout
Introduction
For the second consecutive year, I had the exciting opportunity to contribute to the International Reading Conference, organised by Reading Solutions UK. This year, I was fortunate enough to collaborate with the marketing team and provide a conference for innovative and inspiring speakers from across the education sector, all of whom brought fresh insights and ideas to the table.
The Brief
The task at hand was to build upon the foundation of the existing International Reading Conference brand, which I had initially developed the previous year. The challenge was to strengthen the brand's identity, ensuring it remained cohesive and modern, while staying true to the geometric design style that had already been established. This meant finding the right balance between evolution and consistency, ensuring the updated branding felt fresh but familiar to attendees.
The Process
To begin the process, I refreshed the logo by selecting a new typeface that better complemented the emblem, giving it a more polished and modern look. I then introduced additional geometric shapes to the design, allowing for more dynamic layouts and varied ways to present the online conference. These updates were applied across various marketing materials, including social media, web design, and other digital platforms, ensuring a cohesive and visually engaging brand identity that stayed true to the geometric style from the previous year while offering a fresh, contemporary feel.
