An exciting microbrewery that’s opened up in Wokingham is looking for bold new beer labels and keg badges
Introduction
The Outhouse Brewery was founded by an ambitious brewer called Peter Rhodes, who decided to leave the corporate world to pursue his true passion of brewing his beers and turn something that started as a hobby into a full-time business.
The Brief
When I started working with The Outhouse Brewery, I was tasked with designing a set of new label designs with a recurring theme that tied all the beers together and allowed each beer to have its personality. To start with, I had to come up with beer labels for a breakfast ale called Morning Glory, a chocolate porter called Chocol-oat, and a vanilla milkshake IPA called D is for Dora.
The Process
The process began with me having an in-depth chat with Peter to understand his business better. I then started sketching out a consistent design layout and template to ensure all the labels and designing the Morning Glory label design. Then tweaking the design based on Peter’s feedback and using the same format to design the Chocol-oat and D is for Dora label design. I then sent Peter the final files and helped him find the right printer to get the label designs and keg badges printed.
We have and continue to have a great working relationship with Creative Footing. Dan is very attentive and has been there for us in the need of urgent attention. Our final designs are exactly what we want.
