ATMOS - Last Dance

Introduction

I have worked with Liam and ATMOS on several music event design projects across Tynemouth and Newcastle. Recently, Liam approached me to design artwork for his final ATMOS event, making it a particularly meaningful commission.

The Brief

For his final event, Liam wanted music artwork that felt unique while remaining true to the spirit of the venue that launched Barca El Globo in Tynemouth. The goal was to expand on the illustrative characters previously created by the team, embracing a bold, eccentric, and maximalist illustration style that would make the event’s visuals unforgettable.

The Process

I began by referencing the original Barca El Globo illustration, which featured a playful mermaid character, and adapted that style to create a new tiger-themed character. The concept combined two distinct worlds, a lush jungle and a vibrant ocean, which met at a central disco-ball globe. This intersection symbolised the fusion of environments while maintaining a whimsical, high-energy aesthetic in line with the event’s vibe.
